Protect Your Artificial Green

Bowls New Zealand has partnered with Sort and Game on Turf to introduce a new artificial green maintenance programme designed to help clubs protect and extend the life of their surfaces.

Artificial greens are a major investment, and specialist care is essential to maintain performance and durability. This programme removes the hassle of organising maintenance by providing a coordinated, professional service at an affordable price.

Sort will manage maintenance planning and act as the club’s main point of contact, while Game on Turf - specialists in artificial green installation and servicing - will deliver expert on-site work.

Each programme includes an annual visit with a full green health check and report, bi-annual spraying for moss, algae and mildew, and minor green and ditch repairs, along with a recommended maintenance schedule. Optional services such as line marking and green stretching are also available.

Regular care can help extend the lifespan of an artificial green by up to five years, while also ensuring consistent playing performance and reducing pressure on club volunteers.

“This partnership gives clubs confidence their artificial greens are being properly cared for,” says Brett, Community Assets Facilitator. “Quality playing surfaces are vital to member experience, and this programme helps clubs protect their investment for the long term.”

The programme is available at a fixed annual cost of $1,995 + GST for one green, or $3,495 + GST for two greens.
