The World Bowls Indoor Championships begins next month on the British Channel Island of Guernsey. In 2023 at Warilla NSW, the New Zealand representatives were Katelyn Inch and Andrew Kelly, both of whom came home with silver medals in their respective Singles disciplines. The 2024 New Zealand representatives will be hoping to go one better when they take on 28 other competitors from around the globe. The tournament consists of Men's and Women's Singles, and Mixed Pairs.
Current outdoor World Champion Tayla Bruce will be looking to add to her collection of World Bowls medals, and former outdoor World Champ Shannon McIlroy replaces Ali Forsyth who has withdrawn for personal reasons.
Both Bruce and McIlroy are thrilled to be representing New Zealand on the world stage again and are counting on the support from those back home.
The event runs from 21-27 April 2024.
