The Bowls New Zealand Umpires Committee (BNZUC) is the national committee responsible for lawn bowls umpiring in New Zealand. The purpose of the committee is to guide the development and future growth of umpiring, and to promote awareness of the laws across the sport of bowls in New Zealand.

The rules and regulations of our sport are administered and maintained by World Bowls. Each national body has the ability to create their domestice regulations, these regulations for New Zealand are overseen by the New Zealand Umpires committee.
It is important to know the rules as you play, equally as importnat is is that you have the confidence to apply them in a situation, as a bowler, umpire coach or event volunteer.
