Bowls Club Manager

The Naenae Bowling Club has grown into a top-class bowls and community venue over the last 4 years with a covered international Bowls Arena, 3 outdoor greens, bar, restaurant, gaming, and social activities with over 1200 members plus the local community.

The Club is seeking a passionate and hands-on leader to fulfil the role of Bowls Club Manager.

You will have overall responsibility for the management of the Club, Arena and its staff. We are seeking someone who has a strong business and management background preferably in the sports or hospitality industry with well-honed financial, computer and administrative skills.

You will be responsible for undertaking all management and logistics for the delivery of bowls events, competitions, galas, leagues, tournaments, and national competitions in the Ryman Healthcare Arena; and maintaining the annual Club Bowls Calendar.

You will arrange, promote, and host corporate and community Bowls events, including organising our social media campaigns and website content. You'll bring with you strength in marketing and communications.

We are a customer focused organisation and require someone with a high work ethic and eagerness to ensure our patrons and members receive excellent support and service.

It is a condition of employment that you be a holder of a Manager’s Certificate and be approved by Internal Affairs to operate gaming machines or be able to obtain both within 3 months of starting employment.

This may be a full-time position, Tuesday to Saturday, for a suitably qualified candidate or potentially job shared. Some flexibility in hours to oversee key events is required.
