We wish to inform all competitors about significant road works scheduled during the Summerset National Singles and Pairs in Auckland / North Harbour.

To ensure smooth travel, we recommended you review the details below and plan your trips to and from your allocated venues accordingly.

Auckland Harbour Bridge
Dates: December 26th – January 5th, 5am

• Travel will be reduced to two lanes in each direction.          
• Delays are expected.

Recommendation: Allow for delays, Use SH16, SH18, or SH20 for travel between Auckland and the North Shore when possible.

State Highway 1/16 (Spaghetti Junction, Central Auckland)
Dates: December 26th – January 6th, 5am

• Lane reductions on SH1 between Symonds Street and Grafton Road during the day.
• Full road closures at night.

Recommendation: Allow for delays, Use SH16, SH18, or SH20 for travel between Auckland and the North Shore when possible.

• Additional closure of the SH16–SH1 southbound link.

Recommendation: Players traveling south of Auckland CBD (e.g., East Tamaki, Howick, Pakuranga, Papatoetoe) from West Auckland (e.g., Te Atatu, Henderson, Pt Chevalier) should use SH20 to avoid significant detours.

Birkenhead (North Shore)
Dates: December 27th – February 3rd

• Travel on Birkenhead Road between Pupuke Road and Onewa Road will be reduced to one lane northbound.
• Detours will be in place for southbound traffic.

Recommendation: For travel to Birkenhead Bowling Club on Birkenhead Road from the north, expect delays and consider using Onewa Road for all trips to and from the club.
