Bowls New Zealand is moving towards an online event management system for National Events in the 2021-2022 season, called BowlsHub Aotearoa.

BowlsHub Aotearoa will allow Bowls New Zealand to keep National Event results in one centralised location, along with the ability to maintain an accurate membership database that will help administer bowls at not only a National Level but at a Centre and Club level as well.

Because of this exciting development, the process to enter National Events for the 2021-2022 season has changed, here’s how.

  1. Every member entering a National Event in the 2021-2022 season will need to create a profile with BowlsHub Aotearoa.

    This can be done by going to bowlshub.co.nz/signup, Once you’ve created an account you can log in to BowlsHub Aotearoa at www.bowlshub.co.nz (take note of your National ID/Membership number once you've logged in.)

  2. Entering a National Event for the 2021-2022 season is done on BowlsHub Aotearoa.
    Once you’ve logged into BowlsHub Aotearoa navigate to “My Competitions” and you will be able enter the 2022 Summerset Nationals.
  1. If you’re entering a pairs or fours event you will need to know the National ID/Membership Number of every member in your team. If you’re entering a pairs or fours event you will need to know the National ID/Membership Number of every member in your team. (Your teammates will know their National ID/Membership Number once they’ve signed up and logged in once)

ENTRY FEES FOR THE 2021-2022 SEASON ARE:

  • Singles-$49.50
  • Pairs-$99.00
  • Fours-$198.00

Prize Money

Prize money will be direct credited into a nominated bank account during the week commencing 18th January, 2022. Please ensure that you have details of your bank account available at the event. Prize Money may be subject to schedular payments to the IRD.

Code of Conduct

All entrants in the National Open Championships are bound by Section 2 of Bowls New Zealand Code of Conduct.

Betting

The National Open Championships is an event at which Sports Betting may be conducted. Entrants and Tournament Officials are prohibited from placing bets and benefiting from bets placed by others. Disciplinary action in terms of Bowls New Zealand Constitution will be taken against Players and Officials who contravene this law.
