In the first of two games, the table topping Elmwood Park Saints proved in unstoppable form under debut skipper Lance Pascoe, surging to a straight sets win opposite the Stoke Thunder, 10-2, 9-2.
The Royal Oak Rockets then welcomed the return of champion pairing Mike Galloway and Martin Dixon, the Rockets boosting their playoff hopes with a straight sets win against the Hinuera Heat, 10-2, 4-4.

Continuing their winning ways, the Thunder overpowered the Gore Rams in straight sets, 3-2, 9-0, catapulting themselves back up the table and firmly chasing a top two spot.
The final game of the evening saw the Royal Oak Rockets put a first set loss behind them (3-6), outplaying the Elmwood Park Saints in the second set (6-2) and taking home the tie-breaker (1-0) to put them on a winning streak as they too build momentum and climb the ladder.

The final night of week five saw the Parajacks take on a double header, both fixtures going the full distance with tie-break finishes. The first match-up opposite the Pt Chevalier Pirates saw the Parajacks go down in the tie-break (3-5, 4-2, 0-2), though the Parajacks rallied strong in the second game to take a much needed win off the Stokes Valley Vipers, 7-2, 3-6, 3-0.
The third and final match-up of the night saw a game of two halves play out, with the Pt Chevalier Pirates taking the first set with a 9-1 thumping opposite the Gore Rams, before the Rams returned the favour in the second set, 11-2 to set up a winner takes all end.
A bowl for bowl end finally saw the Rams get over the line, taking the three points and continuing to pull away from the bottom of the competition table.
