Brett O’Riley has been involved with bowls for most of his life. Introduced to the game by his grandparents over 40 years ago, Brett has been involved at club, centre and international level as a player, administrator and media representative. Brett has twice been a national finalist in New Zealand, chaired the World Professional Bowls Association, chaired the Bowls NZ Game Development Committee in early 2000s, and currently plays in both the Auckland and North Harbour Centres. 

Professionally Brett has worked in the technology sector for many years and in recent times held senior executive positions in the public sector, most recently as CE of Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development. Brett currently is a professional director and advisor the many private and public sector entities.
